13 Jul Cultural Competitions
During the summer term we ran a cultural competition for children in key stage 1 and another for key stage 2. The competition was an intra school event for children both in school and at home.
For the key stage one competition, children were invited to submit a drawing of themselves playing their favourite game or sport. Schools selected their winner and will now receive stickers of the design to use as rewards for personal best within school.
Congratulations to our key stage 1 winners: Finlay from Towers Infants, Mia from Harold Wood, Ishaq and Naomi from Newtons, Alfie from St. Joseph and Cameron from Harold Court for producing wonderful drawings.
Key stage 2 children were invited to create a socially distance game that could be played within school. Again each school selected their winner. Havering Sports Collective activity cards have been made up of the games and shared with Collective schools to utilise.
Congratulations to our key stage 2 winners: Chloe from Towers Junior, Zofia from Harold Wood, Kornelia from Newtons, Jessie from St. Joseph’s, Andreea from Harold Court and Max from Parklands Junior. We have been really impressed with the creativity that all the children put in to their games.
Well done to all the children who participated in the competitions.
