Dodgeball Competition

06 Oct Dodgeball Competition

On the 6th October 2015 a Dodgeball competition was hosted at The Sacred Heart of Mary Girls’ School.  Ten teams entered the competition with a number of schools also entering B teams.

Teams were split into four groups with the winners from each pool playing each other in semi-finals. The semi finalists were Scotts, Oakfields, Parklands and Engayne.  The semi final matches were enthusiastically played before the finalists were revealed as Scotts and Engayne.

The final was a very close match, both schools used their wit to attempt to get the opposition out as quickly as possible.  In the end Scotts held their nerve and won.  It was fantastic to witness both teams shaking hands, showing mutual respect and great sportsmanship.

A trophy was presented to Scotts in relation to the School Games Values, for showing the most determination throughout the tournament.  Engayne did not leave empty handed either as they received a certificate for displaying the best teamwork throughout the tournament. All of the semi-finalists also received colourful wrist bands as a memento of the occasion.

Well done to everyone who was involved in this event.
