High 5 Netball

27 Sep High 5 Netball

The School Games High 5 netball competition took place on 27th September 2018 at Hornchurch High School.  Sixteen schools arrived in high spirits with plenty of supporters to take part on one of the hottest September days on record.  All schools had at least 4 matches throughout the pool stages which were played across 3 courts. The top 2 teams in each pool were then randomly drawn to play 2 final pools of 3 with the winners of each pool playing the final.

Following the first round of pool matches the School Games Values of Respect and Passion were awarded with Gidea Park College, St Josephs and Drapers Brookside receiving the Respect awards and Langtons Junior, Nelmes Primary and Parklands Junior winning the Passion awards.

Six teams then played for the top place in 2 pools with Parsonage Farm Primary and Newtons Primary gaining the most points to play the final. It was closely contested and went to extra time with Parsonage Farm just pipping Newtons to the post with their 4th consecutive win of this tournament.
