14 Dec London Youth Games Virtual Cross Country
Between the 21st November and 6th December, young people across London were invited to participate in the London Youth Games Virtual Cross Country competition. In partnership with Nike and designed to keep students active during lockdown, points were awarded for both participation and performance for those who submitted an entry.
There were some fantastic results from students across Havering and we finished 9th out of the 32 boroughs that competed.
We would like to give a special mention and celebrate Billy, a young para athlete who took pride in representing his borough and alongside his brother Teddy walked his 2km distance with his mum.
The students’ distances were as follows:
Male | Distance | Female | Distance |
U11 | 1500m | U11 | 1500m |
U13 | 2000m | U13 | 2000m |
U15 | 3000m | U15 | 2000m |
U17 | 4500m | U17 | 3000m |
