Poems from our key worker children

12 May Poems from our key worker children

Last week the children who are currently in schools receiving our sports coaching provision were set a cultural task.  The brief was to write a poem about the sessions and/or sport in general…. and the response was fantastic.

Children from Drapers Brookside submitted the following words about their sports coach:

Mr. Hayes is amazing.

I like it when he gives us ‘free time’,

because we can choose which game to play!

Playing sports makes us………..

We’d like to play sports all day.

Crowlands Primary expressed how they have ‘lots of fun playing games in the sun’ and that ‘circuits were the best, but now we are in need of some rest’! (see main image for full poem).

Newtons Primary sent in some fantastic pieces of writing (see below), providing a great insight in to their sessions.

Thank you and well done to all of the children who submitted their poems.
