On Wednesday 16th October, twelve schools attended the second of our primary cross country competitions.

The event held at Stubbers Adventure centre saw children from years 3 and 4 complete a 1200 metre course around the picturesque lake.  Children from years 5 and 6 ran a longer route of 2000 metres.

The year 3/4 girls raced first, followed by the year 3/4 boys, year 5/6 girls and finally the year 5/6 boys.  Individual winners were as follows:

Year 3/4 Girls: 1st Summer from Scotts.  2nd Holly and 3rd Anastasia, both from Hacton.

Year 3/4 Boys: 1st Zach from Harold Wood.  2nd Lewis and 3rd Owen, both from Hylands.

Year 5/6 Girls: 1st Amy from Towers Junior. 2nd Lois and 3rd Jessica, both from Hacton.

Year 5/6 Boys: 1st Findlay from Scotts.  2nd Freddie from Engayne.  3rd George from Towers Junior.

Team results saw Hacton win the year 3/4 girls, Harold Wood win the year 3/4 boys, Towers Junior win the year 5/6 girls and Engayne win the year 5/6 boys.
