Success for Bower Park Handball

27 Apr Success for Bower Park Handball

Bower Park hosted U13s Essex Championship.  The girls competed well finishing 3rd.  The boys were victorious in every game comfortably winning the competition beating Bromfords in the final.

The U15 boys and girls travelled to Bromfords School to compete in the Essex Championships.  Both teams played extremely well and were a credit to the school with their effort and application to the game that they are quite new too.

The Girls were beaten in the final by a very experienced Bromfords team that have had four years of playing and beat some good sides on the way.

The boys looked at the size of some of the other students and had mini meltdown looking at them but once they started to believe in themselves and got into the game realised there was nothing to fear and comfortably won their group and semi-final.  They then faced the task of playing against the best team in the country 2015 national champions Bromfords.  We lost 4-1 but they boys played unbelievably well and should be really proud of themselves.

In Essex we are now one of the best Handball schools, with U13 Girls 3rd, U15 girls and boys runners up and U13 boys are Champions and will now compete in the South East England finals on May 10th in Cambridge.
